news-1920-961Trade activity continues to rise and external demand shows signs of recovery

Export orders of foreign trade companies have improved for six consecutive months

On the 14th, Ministry of Commerce spokesperson Shu Jueting said at a regular press conference that in recent months, China's trade in goods has shown a stabilizing and upward momentum. The growth rate of imports and exports in RMB has rebounded for four consecutive months. In October , achieved positive growth in November.

Shu Jueting said that overall, positive factors for foreign trade development continue to accumulate, and the stabilization trend continues to consolidate:

First, trade activity continues to rise. China's export trade volume has turned from falling to increasing year-on-year since August, and the growth rate has continued to expand. In November, export volume increased by 12%, reaching the peak since the second quarter. At the same time, import trade volume has maintained positive growth for 10 consecutive months. The steady growth in volume is an important support for the stable scale and optimal structure of foreign trade.

Second, external demand shows signs of recovery. In November, China's exports to the United States ended 14 months of decline and turned to growth of 9.6%, while the decline in imports and exports to Japan, South Korea and other countries narrowed. Consumer electronics such as mobile phones and home appliances have a clear rebound momentum. In November, the growth rate of integrated circuit imports turned positive for the first time this year. Import volume has increased for three consecutive months, showing that the export demand for terminal electronic products has improved.

Third, business expectations continue to improve. A tracking survey by the Ministry of Commerce shows that the export orders of foreign trade companies have improved for six consecutive months.

"Since the fourth quarter, many cross-border e-commerce platforms have further won the favor of consumers from many countries by holding promotional activities, increasing traffic investment, and improving service levels, and performed well during the holiday shopping season." Shu Jueting gave an example, Since the beginning of this year, China's cross-border e-commerce has continued to grow rapidly. In the first three quarters, cross-border e-commerce imports and exports reached 1.7 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 14.4%, driving the growth rate of imports and exports of goods trade in the same period by more than 1 percentage point.

Shu Jueting said that in accordance with the deployment of the Central Economic Work Conference, the Ministry of Commerce will work with relevant departments and local governments to cultivate new foreign trade momentum, consolidate the basic foreign trade and foreign investment, expand new foreign trade space, and provide solid policies for the development and innovation of foreign trade enterprises. and service guarantee.news-1920-462
