China continues to contribute to the development of the Asia-Pacific region

In recent years, China has continued to deepen reform, expand opening up, actively integrate into Asia-Pacific regional cooperation, promote Asia-Pacific regional economic integration, and continue to contribute the "China Solution" to Asia-Pacific prosperity. Experts say that China has now become an important force that can be relied upon to promote the development of the Asia-Pacific region.

Over the years, China has firmly upheld the multilateral trading system, firmly promoted regional economic integration, persisted in improving the level of regional trade and investment liberalization and facilitation, and proposed a number of cooperation initiatives that have brought tangible benefits to the people of the region.

Under China's vigorous leadership and promotion, the 2014 APEC Leaders' Beijing Meeting approved the "Beijing Roadmap for APEC to Promote the Asia-Pacific Free Trade Area" proposed by China. In the past 10 years, all parties have made progress in tariffs, non-tariff measures, services, investment, etc. Positive progress has been made in the field, and the Asia-Pacific Free Trade Area has become the main channel to promote economic integration in the Asia-Pacific region.

The "One Belt, One Road" international cooperation advocated by China is highly consistent with the connectivity concept promoted by APEC, which has dredged the meridians for regional economic development.

Luo Rong, director of the Institute of External Economics at the China Academy of Macroeconomics, said that President Xi Jinping has attended the APEC Leaders’ Informal Meeting for nine consecutive years, guiding all parties to grasp the trend of the times, adhere to open cooperation, and work together to build an Asia-Pacific community with a shared future. At the same time, China's door is opening wider and wider, various market opening measures have been continuously implemented, the level of utilization of foreign investment has been continuously improved, and the business environment has been continuously optimized, injecting vitality and power into regional economic growth.news-1920-462
