《Global Digital Trade Development Trend Report 2022》 Released
The International Trade and Economic Cooperation Research Institute of the Ministry of Commerce released the "Global Digital Trade Development Trend Report 2022" during the 2023 Global Service Outsourcing Conference (Nantong) Summit and Nantong Digital Trade Innovation and Development Summit. Through a comprehensive assessment of the development level of digital trade in 37 major economies in the world, the report found that developed economies occupy a dominant position in the development of global digital trade, and developing economies occupy an important position in the development of global digital trade. China's overall ranking ranks 4th in the world and 1st among developing economies.
According to the report, the current global digital trade presents nine development trends: First, digital trade has become an important engine to promote the recovery of international trade. Second, digital trade presents a development pattern of one superpower and many powerhouses. Third, digital platform companies are driving profound changes in the global industry and trade pattern. Fourth, cross-border e-commerce boosts the integrated development of international trade. Fifth, digital technology services expand the boundaries of digital trade, and digital technology services become the core engine driving the growth of digital trade. Sixth, digital content services represented by film and television animation, digital games, interactive entertainment, and digital collections have developed rapidly under the epidemic. Seventh, the flow of data and information broadens the channels of digital trade, driving the vigorous development of digital trade. Eighth, digital empowerment of traditional service trade has accelerated the transformation, giving birth to many new digital trade formats. Ninth, the evolution of the global digital trade governance system is accelerating, and the game of digital trade governance in typical economies is fierce.
The report found that there is a large gap in the development of digital trade among different economies, and the United States is far ahead of other economies; developed economies dominate the development of global digital trade, and China is the only developing economy among the top 10 economies; Developing economies occupy an important position in the development of global digital trade. China's overall ranking ranks fourth in the world and ranks first among developing economies, far ahead of other developing economies.
According to reports, the theme of this conference is "Intelligent Convergence of Jianghai Data Leading the Future", aiming to build a new system of high-quality and efficient service industry, and to accelerate the deepening of Nantong's digital economy and real economy by creating an internationally competitive digital industry cluster. Integration will promote the high-quality development of Nantong's service outsourcing industry and digital trade, and create an important fulcrum for the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta and an important growth pole for the high-quality development of Jiangsu Province. It is worth mentioning that the digital innovation projects, digital platform projects and digital headquarters projects were also signed intensively at the conference site.
