In the 10 years since the major initiative of jointly building the “Belt and Road” was proposed, my country and the co-building countries have strengthened practical cooperation in the field of economic and trade, which has not only steadily expanded in scale, but also continued to improve in quality. How will the next step be further deepened to better benefit the people of the jointly built country?

Over the past 10 years, practical cooperation in the economic and trade field between China and the countries co-building the "Belt and Road" has achieved a series of solid and important cooperation results, which has effectively promoted the economic development and improvement of people's livelihood in various countries, and jointly achieved mutual benefit and win-win results. In 2022, the scale of trade in goods between my country and co-building countries will be close to 2.9 trillion US dollars, and it is the main trading partner of more than 110 co-building countries. In terms of investment, in 2022, my country's direct investment in the co-building countries will exceed 30 billion U.S. dollars, and investment in the co-building countries will attract more than 20 billion U.S. dollars.

Under the guidance of the "Belt and Road" initiative, Chinese companies have actively participated in the joint construction of national infrastructure, involving many fields such as transportation, civil construction, and power engineering. In the past 10 years, my country has signed a total of US$2 trillion in contracts for jointly constructed national contracting projects, and achieved a turnover of US$1.3 trillion, bringing a real sense of gain to the local people.

At present, our country has signed free trade agreements with 20 co-building countries. In particular, it has promoted the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement, that is, RCEP, has fully entered into force. It has built the world's largest free trade zone, with a population, GDP and The scale of goods trade accounts for about 30% of the world's total. Overall, my country has initially established a free trade zone network based on its surrounding areas, radiating the “Belt and Road Initiative” and facing the world.
