In The First Half Of The Year, The Development Of China'S Foreign Trade Was Strong And Strong

news-1920-760In the first half of this year, under the background that exports faced greater pressure from external demand, my country's foreign trade withstood the pressure, stabilized its scale, improved its quality, and showed resilience and new quality.

Recently, about 3,000 containers of Chinese-made textiles, glass products, and mechanical equipment were sent to emerging markets such as Mexico, Colombia, and Peru through the newly opened South American route at Shandong Port Qingdao Port.

The routes continue to increase, and my country now has as many as 214 trading partners. In the first half of this year, my country's total foreign trade volume exceeded 20 trillion yuan, a record high in scale. ASEAN continued to become my country's largest trading partner, and my country's imports and exports to countries along the "Belt and Road" achieved close to double-digit growth.

Although the growth of global cargo volume has slowed down, my country's foreign trade entities are actively exploring new demands in the global market. According to cross-border e-commerce data, summer home appliances produced in Shenzhen, Dongguan, and Ningbo are selling well all over the world this year, and energy-saving and environmentally friendly products such as energy storage fans and charging piles are especially popular with overseas buyers. In the first half of this year, the export of mechanical and electrical products in my country accounted for nearly 60% of the total export value.

Private enterprises are becoming the main force in my country's foreign trade development. In the first half of this year, the import and export of private enterprises accounted for 52.7% of my country's total import and export value, an increase of 3.3 percentage points year-on-year. The "three new items" of foreign trade, that is, electric vehicles, lithium batteries, and solar cells, have accelerated their overseas exports, with a total export growth of 61.6%. New formats and new models are booming, and there are more than 100,000 cross-border e-commerce entities in my country. In the first half of the year, the import and export of cross-border e-commerce increased by 16% year-on-year.news-1920-462
